About La Salada L'Ermot

La Salada L’Ermot is a white wine produced by La Salada, in Pla del Penedés, Barcelona, under the D.O. Penedés. This is a personal project of Toni Carbo, a winemaker at Mas Candí.

The grapes used to produce this wine grew on vineyards planted by Toni’s grandfather, home to calcareous-clay soils. The vineyards are worked and cultivated organically, with not herbicides or pesticides used.

La Salada L’Ermot is produced exclusively with the Macabeu variety. The grapes are pressed lightly and left to ferment with their own yeasts in stainless steel tanks, where it rests with its fine lees for 5 months, with no sulphur added.
