Leda Viñas Viejas 2020 is a red wine with a stunningly intense and brilliant cherry-red hue. On the nose, one can distinctly perceive aromas of black fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, accompanied by sweet and balsamic spicy hints, alongside subtle toasted and hazelnut notes. On the palate, it offers a very pleasant and velvety entry, with good body and structure. Its mature tannins stand out with hints of toffee and dried fruits, culminating in a long, flavourful, and elegant finish.

About Leda Viñas Viejas

Leda Viñas Viejas is a red wine crafted from Tempranillo grapes sourced from various plots, each possessing unique characteristics that impart diverse nuances. All vines are over 50 years old.

Vinification is conducted separately according to the origin of the plot, the age, and the cultivation method. The grapes are always destemmed. It undergoes prolonged fermentation and extended maceration in closed tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French and American oak barrels where it matures for approximately 30 months. It then rests for a final 4-6 months in tanks before bottling. Clarification is done with albumin and filtration through plates.

A magnificent expression of Tempranillo from Castilla-León. We recommend decanting for a minimum of 4 hours before serving. It has excellent ageing potential, around 10 years. A superb wine, elegant and very refined.

A very good, broad and engulfing attack. From the first sip, the powerful and harmonious aromas found in the nose are noticed again. A very well integrated, dense, creamy, tasty and full bodied wine with a good volume. It has great structure, balance, and firm and well-integrated tannins as well as excellent acidity. Its finish is very long and persistent.

Deep and dark, almost black cherry, with maroon edges. Clean and bright with a high robe and elegant, dense and slow-falling tears.

Initially lots of fruit nuances,with abundant notes of very ripe red and black fruit mixed with good toasted aromas. When it opens up, a touch of spices appear and the smoked and balsamic aromas gain in expressiveness. A marked mineral background which forms a harmonious, very complex and intense aromatic ensemble.

2005 An elegant, powerful, full-bodied and bulky red wine with a great character. A round wine. It has a wide and embracing attack and a long, very silky and delicious mid palate with notes of ripe, fleshy fruit mixed with toasted and mineral aromas and marked hints of cocoa. It is structured and has a well balanced acidity. Its well integrated tannins still need some time to finish polishing. Long and very persistent finish that leaves an aftertaste of spicy fruit.

Intense dark cherry colour with maroon edges. Clean and bright wine with a high layer and dense slow-falling tears.

Elegant, powerful and complex aromas. Its abundant notes of ripe red and black fruit are perfectly balanced with the aromas of noble wood, and the intense roasted and smoked notes. Gradually, a spicy touch appears along with important floral aromas and abundant mineral hints. Its powerful balsamic aromas stay in the background.
2004 Flavor is tasty, succulent, which resembles the nose. Long and persistent.

Dark cherry color with hitching edge maroon.

Nice aroma of high-average power, complex and elegant at once, balsamic very well integrated, good substitutes of wood, along with smoky, vanilla and mineral touches.
