About Más de Leda

Más de Leda is a red wine from Tierra de Castilla y León, crafted by Bodegas Leda, a winery established in 1998 by a group of wine enthusiasts. Bodegas Leda is located in Tudela del Duero, Valladolid, a village in Castilla-León with a winemaking tradition dating back to the Middle Ages.

This wine is a single-varietal Tempranillo (100%) sourced from various plots with very low yields, consisting of young vines between 15 and 25 years old. The vineyards are planted on slopes and inclined areas with a great diversity of soils at altitudes ranging from 650 to 800 metres above sea level.

The climate in this region is characterised by cold, harsh winters, dry springs, and hot, arid summers.

Regarding the production process, after grape selection, pressing is carried out. The must undergoes maceration in stainless steel vats. At this stage, the sugars in the grape are transformed into ethyl alcohol and carbon dioxide. Subsequently, a malolactic fermentation is conducted to reduce acidity.

Finally, Más de Leda spends just over a year in French and American oak barrels.

2020

Más de Leda 2020 is a red wine with an enchanting aroma of raspberries and ripe cherries, complemented by subtle hints of balsamic tobacco. On the palate, it is round and luscious, showcasing its clean notes of red fruits. Its finish is long and silky, leaving a concentrated and pleasant sensation.                       

 
2015 Más de Leda 2015 is an intense, balanced and round red wine. This great vintage perfectly shows all the varietal character, aromas of ripe red fruit with elegant toasted notes of its ageing. In the mouth, it ample, silky and very long.
2012 On the palate it is sweet, round and balanced. Pleasant tannins.

Red colour with cherry trim. Bright.

On the nose there are aromas of red fruit with notes of cocoa and spices.
2010 Powerful attack, with a great volume and many fruit. Very pleasant mid-palate, refreshing for an excellent, integrated and deep acidity. Intense tannic sensation. Long, fruity, smoked and persistent finish.

Cherry red color with violet edgings. Medium robe. It is clean and bright. It has an abundant glyceric touch, slightly high-colored.

High intensity with a relevant expressive very ripe black fruit, sometimes with a licorice touch that little by little gives way to aromatic herbs, balsamic notes, fine toasts and light spiced hints.

2008 Very nice and embracing attack. Very tasty. Its intense notes of red fruit are softened by good and refreshing balsamic touches. Ripe tannins. Nice finish with hints of smoke and a slightly sweety aftertaste.

2006 This wine is very tasty, greedy and with ripe tannins and acids. With a fresh step, balsamic (eucalyptus) and a final with aromas of wood.
