Leirana María Luisa Lázaro 2019 is a highly aromatic white wine, with intense aromas of citrus fruits and green apple. On the palate, it is notable for its vibrant acidity and profound flavours, accompanied by a stony and mineral sensation. Its profile is creamy, with a texture that envelops the palate. With only 2,500 bottles produced, it is an exclusive option for those seeking a white wine with character and uniqueness.

About Leirana María Luisa Lázaro

The best is often scarce, and unfortunately, valuable things are not always readily available. Therefore, when we come across a high-quality product, it becomes a genuine treasure. This is the case with the small project Forjas del Salnés, managed by the Méndez family alongside the renowned winemaker Raúl Pérez in Rías Baixas (Galicia). Although their maximum production capacity is only 20,000 litres, their wines are truly exceptional. Hence, when they release their new vintages, both red and white, it is essential to act quickly to acquire them. With just 3 hectares of their own vineyard, spread across 7 distinct plots for each of their creations, every bottle is a testament to their dedication and passion for high-quality viticulture.

Given that albariño is the star variety in the Denominación de Origen Rías Baixas, Leirana María Luisa Lázaro is a white wine that has everything to captivate. An albariño from old vines that are cultivated with environmentally respectful treatments and hand-harvested at the optimal moment of ripeness. In the winery, only the best grapes are vinified with spontaneous fermentation using native yeast in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, the wine ages without malolactic fermentation, in a combination of stainless steel tanks and foudre. Finally, it remains in the bottle for 24 months before being released to the market.

As a result, Leirana María Luisa Lázaro has become one of the main sources of inspiration in Rías Baixas. A highly limited production albariño that is coveted internationally. And as we mentioned at the beginning, the best is often scarce.
