About Loess Verdejo

Loess Verdejo is a white wine from the D.O. Rueda made by Bodega Miguel y Ruano.
This wine has been made 100% with Verdejo grapes from a 4 ha. vineyard planted in terrace form on the river Duero in 1998, without irrigation and with special soils composed of sand, pebbles, clay and limestone. The grapes macerate in stainless steel deposits at a temperature controlled below 8ºC. Once pressed, the fermentation takes place, also in stainless steel deposits.
Once finished, the wine rests on its lees for a while with regular battonage (lees stirring) to finish refining.
Loess Verdejo is a young, dry, fresh and very aromatic wine.

2013 A unique Rueda. Good attack. Light, intense and rich on the palate. High concentration of fruit. Very good acidity. Long finish with good persistence, leaving citrus notes at retro-olfaction.
