About Luberri Maceración Carbónica

Luberri Maceración Carbónica is a red wine made by Bodegas Luberri in La Rioja.

Luberri is a blend of Tempranillo with a small percentage of Viura, two classic varieties of Rioja.

Luberri is produced using the traditional Rioja Alavesa method of carbonic maceration. The fermentation is done with the grape whole, without crushing and avoiding any breakage in stainless steel tanks in an atmosphere of CO2.

Under the weight of the grapes, the clusters of the bottom of the tank fermentation are broken spontaneously. Other grapes, whole and unbroken, begin the process of fermentation.

This fermentation process occurs over 8-10 days at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C. Due to its preparation, Luberri Maceración Carbónica is a very fruity wine, with great aroma and freshness.

2014 Very tasty in the mouth. Fresh, sweet, with good acidity. Lots of red fruit, light bitterness.

A red cherry colour with violet edges. Upper middle layer. Bright and lively.

Very aromatic. Candy, strawberry, berries, cream with some black fruit.
2012 In the palate, we find a wide, powerful and fleshy red wine, with a balanced mid palate with fruity sensations. Nice finish with a soft bitterness that makes the wine longer. Its hints of red fruit noticed at retro-olfaction provide a refreshing and lively touch which makes this wine inviting.

Intense and dark bright cherry colour with violet edges. Very high robe.

Highly intense, clean and crispy nasal aromas. This red wine shows aromas of berries (blackberries and raspberries) and floral nuances (violets) with a touch of liquorice. Very aromatic.
2011 In the mouth, it is large, powerful and fleshy. It shows a well-balanced mid-palate with a fruity sensation. Pleasant finish, with a soft bitterness which prolongs the swallow. The reminiscences of red fruits at retro-olfaction provide it with a refreshing and lively tone which incites to drink one sip after another.
