About Marguet Shaman Rosé Grand Cru

Marguet Shaman Rosé Grand Cru is a biodynamic Extra Brut champagne made with the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties by Benoit Marguet in Champagne.

Marguet is a small family-run Champagne house in Ambonnay (Reims Mountains), a town classified as Grand Cru and one of the best-known in the whole Champagne region. The current owner Benoit Marguet, uses the knowledge of his ancestors dating back to 1850 and works with absolute respect for the vineyard and the terroir, using biodynamic practices both in the vineyard and in production.

The Marguet Shaman Rosé Grand Cru champagne comes specifically from Grand Cru old vines in the towns of Ambonnay and Bouzy. Certified by Demeter, all vineyards are cultivated using biodynamic agriculture and natural practices. No machinery is used. Ploughing is carried out exclusively with 2 horses and the harvest is completely manual.

All processes in the winery are based on biodynamic guidelines, following the lunar calendar. To begin with, Marguet Shaman Rosé Grand Cru undergoes alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in the barrel. It is then racked and put into enamelled steel tanks. Only a minimal amount of sulphur is added and dosage is also kept to a minimum of 3 g/l. 

Marguet Shaman Rosé Grand Cru is a rosé champagne that has the same quality standards as uncoloured champagnes. A rosé with the elegance and freshness that only a Grand Cru made with full care and attention can offer.
2016 Marguet Shaman Rosé Grand Cru 2016 is a light champagne with intense aromas of red and citrus fruits. On the palate it is fresh and flavoursome with a very balanced acidity.
