About Marqués de Cáceres La Capilla Rueda

Since Enrique Forner established Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres in Rioja in 1970, his ambition has been to craft wines that speak for themselves, blending quality, elegance, and personality. Today, under the leadership of his daughter Cristina, the winery continues to uphold this clear vision, adapting to the present without losing the essence that has made each bottle internationally acclaimed.

In 2014, the winery took a bold and refreshing step: transferring part of its Rioja tradition to the D.O. Rueda, a region with stony soils and a continental climate perfect for white grapes. Here, Marqués de Cáceres harmonizes respect for the land and its roots with a modern and creative approach, cultivating verdejo and sauvignon blanc to produce wines that are fresh, elegant, and full of character, capable of accompanying each moment with authenticity and pleasure.

Marqués de Cáceres La Capilla Rueda originates from proprietary vineyards located in Serrada and La Seca, where 30 to 40-year-old vines thrive on soils that alternate between gravel, sand, and rock, enhancing their freshness and expressiveness. Night harvesting and meticulous vinification in French oak barrels and concrete eggs ensure a slow and controlled fermentation, followed by six months of aging on fine lees. This meticulous care results in a white wine with volume, structure, and finesse, reflecting the essence of its vineyards and the character of the winery.
