About Mascaró Pure Reserva Brut Nature

When we speak of purebred, we refer to authenticity. Of deep roots, of respect for the land, and an identity that requires no embellishments. This precisely defines Pure Reserva Brut Nature; a cava that originates from its roots and remains true to them in every bubble.

Behind this cava lie three generations of the Mascaró family, passionately dedicated to crafting high-quality spirits, cavas, and wines. Their story unfolds from their iconic modernist winery in Vilafranca del Penedès, where tradition and innovation coexist to create products with distinct character.

Pure Reserva Brut Nature embarks on its journey at the Mas Miquel estate, located in Aiguamúrcia, in the Alt Camp region (Tarragona). This privileged location is situated in one of the highest areas of Penedès, an environment where the climate and altitude impart freshness, elegance, and personality to the macabeo and parellada grapes.

The harvest is carried out by hand, with each cluster carefully selected. The grapes are pressed whole, using only the free-run juice, the most delicate and pure part of the juice, destined for the production of the base wine for the cava. Subsequently, fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures, preserving the grape's natural aromas to the fullest.

However, the true character of Pure Reserva Brut Nature is revealed over time. This cava rests for over 24 months in the bottle, slowly refining in the cellars until it reaches its perfect balance. The process concludes without the addition of expedition liqueur, thus maintaining its Brut Nature style.

Fresh, elegant, and precise, Pure Reserva Brut Nature is proof that when we speak of purebred, we speak of history, of territory, and of a way of understanding quality without artifices.

In the mouth, it is very dry, tonic and balanced at the same time, with structure. Good persistence and pleasant finish.
