About Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada

Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada is a splendid Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León crafted by Bodegas Mauro in Tudela de Duero, within the province of Valladolid. Since 1978, Bodegas Mauro has been producing small batches of exceptional wines founded on two key principles: terroir identity and ageing.

Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada is a single-varietal wine made from the tempranillo grape. The grapes are sourced from vineyards aged between 20 and 25 years, cultivated without the use of herbicides, ensuring utmost respect for the vineyard and its surroundings. The grapes are hand-harvested and transported to the winery in small 15kg crates, where they undergo meticulous selection. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts from the vineyard itself, followed by a maceration period lasting two to three weeks. Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada undergoes ageing for over a year in French and American oak barrels with extra-fine grain.
