About Miranda de Secastilla Garnacha Blanca

Miranda de Secastilla Garnacha Blanca is a white wine produced by the winery Viñas del Vero in Barbastro (Huesca), D.O. Somontano.

Secastilla is a line of wines produced by the winery Viñas del Vero, from vineyards located in the valley of Secastilla, a valley that can be found in the northeastern side of Somontano. It has a special Mediterranean microclimate that is quite differentiated, ideal for vine cultivation.

In the Secastilla valley we can find very old vineyards planted at more than 700 metres of altitude, on stony hillsides, and where the white and red grenache enjoy a perfect habitat.

Miranda de Secastilla Garnacha Blancais a white wine made with White Grenache from the farm Pago de la Miranda, located in the valley of Secastilla.

The harvest is carried out manually and placed in small boxes. In the actual vineyard, the grapes are destemmed and crushed, and then transferred to a vat to start the maceration. Once the vat has been taken to the winery, the free-run juice is separated and fermented in French oak barrels, where it will also age for 4 months.

Miranda de Secastilla Garnacha Blanca 2019 is an expressive white wine. Its bouquet is distinguished by its finesse, showcasing an elegant aromatic harmony of white fruit and nuts (hazelnut), wild herbs, and wilted flowers. On the palate, it is fruit-forward and flavorful, well-balanced, with a gentle onset. The progression is crisp, pure, and refined, leaving a pleasant and lingering aftertaste.
2015 Miranda de Secastilla Garnacha Blanca 2015 is a profiled white wine that is deep and mineral. This vintage revels all the character of the terroir, with white fruit with notes of nuts on a mineral background that is characteristic of the terroir. On the palate it is silky and full with a fresh finish.
