About Monte dall'Ora Valpolicella Superiore Camporenzo

Monte dall'Ora Valpolicella Superiore Camporenzo is a biodynamic and ecological red wine made by Monte dall'Ora in the DOC Valpolicella Classico Superiore (Italy) with the Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, Corvinone and Oseleta varieties.

Located in the heart of Valpolicella, Monte dall'Ora is a family winery run by Carlo Venturini with his wife Alessandra. A winemaking area of the province of Verona where this couple is known for their use of ecological and biodynamic practices to maintain the environment’s natural balance and respect the grape's natural cycle as much as possible. They also intervene as little as possible in the winery to create very personal, complex and long-living wines.

Monte dall'Ora Valpolicella Superiore Camporenzo comes from a single vineyard planted on a hill with limestone-rich soil. Using ecological methods and biodynamic preparations, this is a truly natural garden that is home to original plants, weeds and insects that all contribute to the earth’s natural balance. Paying close attention to the different maturation levels of each of the strains, when the grape reaches optimum ripeness it is harvested manually.

In the winery, Monte dall'Ora Valpolicella Superiore Camporenzo ferments spontaneously with native yeasts for 7 to 8 days. It then ages for 10 months in 25 hl botti (oak foudres from Slovenia). Once bottled, it spends a minimum of two years in the bottle before going to market.

Monte dall'Ora Valpolicella Superiore Camporenzo is an excellent example of the body and the typicality of the Valpolicella wine region shown in the most natural and authentic way.
2016 Monte dall'Ora Valpolicella Superiore Camporenzo 2016 is a deep red wine with an aromatic profile rich in red fruits like cherry, with notes of mint and herbs. On the palate it is pleasant and fresh, with a traditional and well defined style.
