About Moscatel de la Marina
Moscatel de la Marina is a sweet wine from Alicante prepared by Enrique Mendoza. It is a single variety of Alexandria, with deep roots in the area of the Marina.
After harvesting, the stripping of the clusters is performed.
Subsequently, the wort of Moscatel de la Marina is macerated at a low temperature with the skins to achieve optimal aromatic extraction.
The wort undergoes an uncovering process, which consists of adding alcohol to the wine until fermentation stops, achieving the desired level of sugars.
After these processes, bleeding takes place in deposits without going through any kind of pressing, alcohol is then added to achieve the desired alcohol content.
Finally, Moscatel de la Marina is filtered and bottled as quickly as possible to get the maximum fruit flavour.
Enrique Mendoza began this wine project in the late '70s. Passion made him start this project and this passion is alive in the team today.

Moscatel de la Marina 2025 is a sweet wine that evokes a bright after-dinner and a serene Mediterranean, with the fragrant character of Roman muscat unfolding among orange blossom honey, orange peel, and fresh mandarin, nuanced by a balsamic hint and freshly cut grass. On the palate, it is both light and unctuous, with a citrus acidity that adds verve and prevents any excess. Lusciously sweet without cloying, gentle and very lively, it leaves a long and delicate aftertaste, like that dessert that doesn't weigh heavy and is savoured with a serene smile. |

A hint of freshly cut grass adds a charming balsamic freshness. Upon tasting, its lightness and unctuousness are surprising, with a citrus acidity that balances its sweetness. This wine is commendable for its pleasantness on the palate, with a broad and delicate aftertaste that invites more. |
