About Nicte Rosa Pálido

Nicte Rosa Pálido is a rosé wine produced by Bodegas Avelino Vegas in Santiuste de San Juan Bautista (Segovia), V.T. Castilla-León.

Bodegas Avelino Vegas was born from the marriage of Avelino Vegas and his wife Isabel, in the middle of the last century. Currently, the second and third generation are in charge of the business, where they now make wines in five different denominations of origin. In Rueda, they cultivate over 600 hectares of vineyard, mainly planted with the Verdejo variety.

The climate in this area is Mediterranean but with a clear continental influence. It has cold, long winters, short springs with late frosts and hot, dry summers with occasional storms.

Nicte Rosa Pálido is a wine made from Prieto Picudo, from vines that are over 25 years old, cultivated at more than 800 metres of altitude.

The harvest is performed by hand. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they go through a light maceration for a few hours, and then they ferment in stainless steel deposits at a low temperature.
