About Pago de los Capellanes Roble

Pago de los Capellanes Roble is a red wine from the appellation of origin Ribera del Duero produced by Pago de los Capellanes. This wine is a varietal Tempranillo.

After the harvest, the grapes for Pago de los Capellanes Roble are transported to the winery, where firstly, a brief cold pre-fermentation process. Secondly, a spontaneous alcoholic fermentation.

Pago de los Capellanes Roble remains in a vat for 22 days. During this time, various battonages and pump overs are conducted to control the density, temperature and evolution of the yeast.

After this process, the containers are bled and thus, begins the malolactic fermentation at 20ºC that extends for a further 24 days.

Pago de los Capellanes Roble rests for 5 months in new French oak barrels being released on the market.

Pago de los Capellanes Roble 2019 is a supple red wine boasting a bouquet replete with robust scents of red and black fruits intermingled with spiced undertones. On the palate, it is expansive, youthful, and approachable. A wine graced with a silky texture and all-encompassing tannins.

2014 Medium bodied, fresh and fruity. Light tannins, elegant and excellent acidity.

Clean and bright cherry red. A fine tear.

Highlights of strong black fruit. Vanilla, coffee and spicy undertones.

Dark cherry red. Clean and bright. Fine and tinted tears show on the glass.

Intense aromas of black red fruit stand out, along with spices, vanilla, coffee and nice toasted notes.
2010 Wide wine, which fills the mouth with very sweet milky and fruity sensations at the attack. Soft, silky and tasty mid palate. Well structured and balanced wine with good and elegant nice tannins (which still need some time to get polished). Good finish with good persistence. An elegant, very nice, tasty and easy-drinking wine from the Ribera del Duero.

Nice cherry red colour with violet and blue reflections (typical of its youth). Clean and bright wine with abundant tears.

Intense and elegant aromas, in which the red and black fruits are nuanced by numerous sweet and hot spicy notes, touches of mocha and cocoa and good toasted hints on an important milky background.
2009 The passage of the mouth is wide, elegant, persistent and velvety, without losing the resiliency of the great wines of Ribera.
