About Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco

Chardonnay and white cariñena are the primary grape varieties used to craft this white wine, originating from Finca La Garriga in Girona. The winery owns 41 hectares of land here, where clay soils blend with sand and gravel. This vineyard, planted in 1950, is one of the oldest owned by the winery, serving as an excellent field for research and experimentation where Perelada conducts trials with different varieties and rootstocks.
 
For Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco, the harvest is conducted manually, and after an initial selection of the grape clusters in the vineyard, the grapes are taken directly to the winery. Here, the winemaking process is entirely manual and artisanal, with fermentations taking place in new acacia barrels where Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco will also rest on its lees for several months. Finally, Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco is bottled.
