About Pierre Morey Bourgogne Cote d'Or Pinot Noir

Pierre Morey Bourgogne Cote d'Or Pinot Noir is a biodynamic barrel-agedred wine made by Pierre Morey with the Pinot Noir variety in the AOC Bourgogne (Burgundy).

Having worked as a manager at the prestigious Domaine Leflaive winery, Pierre Morey set up his own personal project with 11 hectares in Burgundy. Together with his daughter, he works the vineyard according to biodynamic principles, producing an excellent raw material and fine and elegant wines that are known around the world.

Pierre Morey Bourgogne Cote d'Or Pinot Noir comes from vines with an average age of 30 years old. These strains are planted in clay and calcareous soils in Mersault. They are cultivated using biodynamic agriculture with preparations made with oils and plants. When the grape is perfectly ripe, it is harvested manually.

In the winery, the Pierre Morey Bourgogne Cote d'Or Pinot Noir grapes are destemmed and delicately pressed. They then spontaneously ferment with native yeasts in oak barrels. Finally, the wine ages for 12 months in 228-litre oak barrels and for a minimum of 4 more months in stainless steel tanks.

Pierre Morey Bourgogne Cote d'Or Pinot Noir is a fruity, intense and slightly spicy wine. A very elegant Burgundy Pinot Noir.

2017 Pierre Morey Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2017 is a smooth red wine with aromas of black fruit, red flowers and wild spices. On the palate it is dry, light and elegant. It reveals lively and smooth tannins and a refreshing acidity.
