About Plaer

Plaer is a Priorat red wine produced by Acústic Celler from a selection of Grenache and Carignan grapes from old vines between 40 and 60 years old from different areas with slate soils situated at a height of between 300 and 650 metres altitude. Limited production with less than 6000 bottles.

Acústic Celler aim to produce wines using native grape varieties in order to demonstrate the character of the area. The grapes are harvested by hand, with the grapes being thoroughly selected in both the vineyard and the winery. After the traditional winemaking process it rests for 12 months in French oak barrels.

2020	Plaer 2020 is a richly concentrated red wine with an expressive bouquet, featuring prominent scents of ripe fruit, wild herbs, blossoms, and spices, complemented by mineral undertones. On the palate, it is flavorful and fruit-forward, with refined tannins and a spicy note.
2011	Plaer is very tasty on the palate. Powerful, spicy and very long. Pleasant, ripe tannins. An attractive picota cherry colour, almost maroon. Nuances of ripe fruit, spices and Mediterranean forest herbs.
