Vines planted by his own grandfather at a time when Bolgheri was not as valued as it is today, and in which Alessandro invested, regardless of the prevailing trends.

This brings us to Podere Il Castellaccio Ardiglione Bolgheri Bianco, a white wine crafted from the vermentino grape variety. This vine has proven to express itself exceptionally well in this region with clay and galestro slate soils. It is organically farmed, and the grapes are handpicked at the optimal point of ripeness. In the winery, the grapes are destemmed, crushed, and pressed to initiate fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. A select portion undergoes maceration and aging in wooden barrels, and finally, the entire wine matures for 4 months in wood before bottling.
