About Rafael Cambra Soplo

Rafael Cambra Soplo is a red wine produced by Rafael Cambra in Fonatanars dels Alforins, D.O. Valencia.

 

Rafael Cambra is a small producer located in the inland area of Valencia. His vineyards are situated in Serra de l'Ombria, on clayey-calcareous soils at 750 meters above sea level, with the influence of the Mediterranean climate.

Rafael Cambra's philosophy is to work in the vineyard in an organic way, and with maximum respect for the surroundings, to produce great wines with a marked varietal character and with minimum intervention in the winery. 

 

Rafael Cambra Soplo is a wine made from 100% Grenache, from a young vineyard planted on sandy-loam soils with stones on the surface. Harvesting is carried out manually, selecting the grapes in the vineyard and in the winery. The fermentation is performed in small stainless steel deposits with 10% of the stems and light pump-overs. Maceration takes place at 22ºC for 12 days. This wine is aged in used 225-litre French oak barrels. It is left to stand in concrete tanks until it is bottled. 

 

Rafael Cambra Soplo is a meaty, fruity and fresh wine. A delicious Grenache to enjoy with all kinds of food.
