About Sembro Roble

Sembro Roble is a Tempranillo red wine produced by the Viñas de Jaro winery in the D.O. Ribera de Duero.

Viñas del Jaro is a winery that belongs to the Compañía de Viñedos Iberian, founded by the Osborne Osborne Family and dates back to the 18th century with the production of sherry wines. The winery has grown and become a company that now produces wines from the different wine regions of Spain, like Ribera de Duero, Rioja, Rueda, Toro, Rías Baixas, Bierzo, Penedès, Priorat and Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla. The Viñas del Jaro winery was founded in 1997 and is located in the town of Pesquera de Duero (Valladolid).

One kilometre from the Duero River, the Sembro Roble grapes come from a 49-hectare estate of vineyards sitting at altitudes ranging from 800 to 745 metres above sea level. Likewise, the strains are arranged on different hillsides facing different directions, which provides grapes with different personalities. The harvest is carried out manually into boxes of 15 kg, and separately depending on the plot and variety.

In the winery, the Sembro Roble must ferments for 10 days in stainless steel tanks and macerates with the skins for 7 days. Finally, it spends 4 months in 300-litre new and one-year-old French oak barrels.

Sembro Roble  is a red wine that has all the youth of the fruit and all the elegance of the barrel.
