About Sept Merweh

Atop the mountains of northern Lebanon, where time appears to stand still amidst ancient fig and olive trees, a forgotten tale is reborn. There, in Nehla, Maher Harb resolved to return to his roots to revive not only his homeland but also the memory of an age-old winemaking culture. Sept Winery emerges from this courageous act: leaving behind a promising life in France to plant, with his own hands, each of the 5,000 vines that today breathe life into a familial and collective dream.

Sept is more than a winery; it is a homecoming. A way to honour the ancestors and the father who taught him to love the land, transforming those terraces into Lebanon's first biodynamic vineyard. Each bottle serves as a bridge between tradition and the future, between rural wisdom and the vision of a man who chose to follow his heart.

Sept Merweh is the jewel of this legacy: a highly limited edition white wine, born from ungrafted vines between 100 and 180 years old, of the indigenous merweh variety, scattered among oaks and olive trees. Aged on lees for twelve months in stainless steel, it preserves the purity of an almost extinct grape. With only 2,500 bottles produced annually, it is a liquid homage to the last harvest of Merweh from Nehla in 1986, and to an entire vinicultural memory that seemed destined for oblivion.

In every glass, Sept Merweh invites a profound journey: mountain freshness, chalky minerality, subtle notes evoking the wild and the eternal. A wine to uncork during intimate celebrations, where time and conversation flow leisurely.
