About Soalheiro Allo

Soalheiro Allo is a white wine coupage of the Albariño and Loureiro varieties, produced by the Quinta de Soalheiro winery in the DOC Vinhho Verde, in Minho, Portugal.

The grapes used to make Soalheiro Allo (Alô) come from plots with granitic soils located in the valley of the Minho and Lima rivers. They are harvested manually in small boxes. When they reach the winery, the clusters are pressed and the must is decanted for 48 hours before fermentation, which is carried out under controlled temperatures.

Quinta de Soalheiro is a pioneer winery in the production of Albariño wines, located in Melgaço, the northernmost point of Portugal. This Quinta lies in an environment protected by a mountain range that provides the vineyards with the ideal conditions for this variety to ripen perfectly. In 1982, with the support of his father António Esteves Ferreira, João António Cerdeira created the first Albariño brand, and today they are still working to produce wines that are an example to follow all around the world, thanks to their vibrant and elegant expression.
