Domaine Bobinet Summertime Le Ciel est Bleu is a fabulous pétillant naturel, but what exactly does that mean? It refers to a wine crafted by hand, bottled before the yeast has completed its work, allowing the alcoholic fermentation to finish within the bottle itself. These types of sparkling wines, now highly acclaimed, adhere to the most traditional method of production, where no additional sugar or spirits are added to aid the yeast.

In fact, Domaine Bobinet Summertime Le Ciel est Bleu is one of two sparkling wines that are part of the Summertime project, which began in 2021. Behind this venture are Sébastien and Émeline, the two luminaries at the helm of the Bobinet winery, nestled along the banks of the Loire. Here in Saumur, in the heart of France, clay-limestone soils abound where the 12 hectares of vineyards are cultivated in a wholly organic manner. The vines, aged between 20 and 40 years, are tended with great care, ensuring the highest quality in each cluster. Domaine Bobinet Summertime Le Ciel est Bleu is a blend of gamay, grolleau, and grolleau gris.

Finally, after fermentation and before disgorgement, Domaine Bobinet Summertime Le Ciel est Bleu enjoys a five-month repose in contact with its lees. Grab a bottle while you can – they're flying off the shelves!
