Champagne Brut Nature Biodynamic and Vegan. 48 months in bottle.
Tarlant Zéro Brut Nature Rosé is a pale pink, silvery-rimmed rosé. The nose is very complex and aromatic, rich, with red fruit, apple, pomegranate, raspberry, white and red flowers, white pepper, vanilla and savoury herbs on a background of crushed chalk. The palate is mineral and deep, with subtle notes of cherry, flowers and citrus wrapped in a crisp minerality.

About Tarlant Zéro Brut Nature Rosé
You find yourself faced with the dilemma of finding a good French champagne. Your research has led you to Tarlant, one of the houses with the longest history and tradition in the A.O.C. Champagne (founded in the 18th century). With three centuries of history behind them, culminating in several bottles of champagne, all of which are excellent quality... Where do you start? Undoubtedly, the best option is Tarlant Zéro Brut Nature Rosé, a sparkling wine with no vintage and no dosage.
No dosage is one of the house’s hallmarks, as well as no malolactic fermentation, which they aim to avoid. From its beginnings until today, under the direction of Benoît and Mélanie, this French house has always aimed to showcase the terroir of the A.O.C. Champagne, northwest of France, in a completely genuine way. “Zero is a reflection of the four villages we work in and the goal is to express a champagne without the external sugar that masks the characteristics of the land.” These siblings cultivate 13 hectares of vineyards in Oeuilly, a small village in the Marne Valley. This is one of the four zones that are distinguished in this legendary denomination, where along with chalk (the area’s characteristic soil), there are soils rich in clays and alluvial elements. The warm and cool summers, together with the cold and rainy winters, give the grapes a unique touch that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. When it comes to Tarlant, they focus all their efforts on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, another of the white grape varieties that is typical of the Marne Valley and not now widely cultivated.
Always working organically and biodynamically, Tarlant Zéro Brut Nature Rosé is vinified separately, in small micro-vinifications, with the ultimate goal of knowing which ones will be the best for the base wine. This rosé is a blend of white varieties (Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier), with a reserve red wine aged in oak barrels. The white grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After this process, it is time to bring the reserve wine into play. Normally, reserve wines are not used to make champagne, so they are stored in the cellar, where they remain in barrels or stainless steel tanks. Generally, a small amount of these wines is blended with the wines of the year to create a non-vintage champagne, like Tarlant Zéro Brut Nature Rosé. Finally, Tarlant Zéro Brut Nature Rosé is bottled and spends approximately 48 months at rest before disgorgement.
Throughout this process, no dosage is added to Tarlant Zéro Brut Nature Rosé, because for them, time is the best ingredient to turn a sparkling wine into a real delight.
