Figuero Crianza 2022 presents itself with an alluring purple hue that invites one to delve into a direct and pleasurable experience. When brought to the nose, it exudes aromas of ripe strawberries and blackberries, accompanied by a gentle spicy note that enlivens the senses. About Figuero Crianza

Figuero Crianza is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero, produced by García Figuero winery and vineyards. This winery is located in burgalesa de la Horra (Castilla Leon)

Figuero Crianza is a varietal Tempranillo. The grapes come from old vines, 80% of them are between 20 and 40 years old and 20% are from vines 50 years old.

The harvest of 2011 was conditioned by the weather. The winter was harsh in spring with a hot summer which advanced the ripening of the grapes.

Developing Figuero Crianza starts with a manual harvest in baskets of 12kg. Once in the winery, the deposits are barrelled by gravity. Subsequently, a cold maceration takes place for 2 days at 12°C and the grapes are allowed to ferment spontaneously with 2 movements per day, at the end of fermentation a 'délestage" technique is used to extract more grape colour.

Finally, the wine is aged for 12 months in American oak barrels (85%) and French (15%) oak barrels.

Before bottling, it is clarified with egg white and once in bottle it is aged for another 2 years.

Figuero Crianza 2021 unfolds its subtle charm with a concentrated and ripe profile. On the nose, this red wine exudes aromas of dark fruits such as plums and blackberries, interwoven with spiced hints of vanilla and black pepper. On the palate, it is introduced with a smooth and rounded texture, delivering a flawless balance between acidity and tannins, culminating in a lingering and sophisticated finish. On the palate, it is a wine that captivates with its sweetness, boasting a plush and full-bodied texture, and tannins as smooth as velvet. This Tinto Figuero 12 2020, both rich and graceful, stands as a paragon of concentration and harmony.
2011 Light entry. Velvety round tannins. Long finish.

Cherry red. Intense, deep and bright.

Intense fruit aromas. Very sweet. Notes of liquorice and chocolate.
2006 Very tasty and ample Crianza wine. Powerful and at the same time gentle mid palate, with notes of fruit and well integrated wood nuances. Ripe and round tannins. Balanced acidity that provides this wine with a good freshness. Lingering finish.

Dark cherry colour with garnet trims. Clean, bright and with high robe. Dense tear.

Its intensity and complexity characterize this wine from Ribera del Duero. The notes of ripe red fruits appear along with the nuances provided by the oak: toasted, spicy and creamy. All these aromas form a very subtle and elegant wine.
2005 Tasty and well balanced. A wine with good structure and nice and powerful run. Rounded tannins and elegant. Fresh and lively wine.

Intense cherry red with garnet rim. Clean, bright, high layer. Dense tear.

Intense and complex nose. Ripe red fruit with notes of licorice with oak form a very subtle and well integrated.
2004 Sabroso balanced. Structured with a step-by-mouth friendly and powerful. Moderate acidity giving the wine freshness and liveliness. Round and elegant tannins.

Pillorying intense red garnets with rivets. Clean, bright and well presented. Layer high. Dense tear.

Intense and complex nose. Red fruit with notes of liquorice together with oak, set up a subtle olfactory and very well integrated. Highlights the nuances of American oak that a good overlap away from the primary aromas of the wine, go with it in perfect harmony.
