Tinto Pesquera Gran Reserva Millenium is an exquisite red wine crafted by Tinto Pesquera winery, located in Pesquera de Duero (Valladolid), within the esteemed D.O. Ribera del Duero.
 
Nestled in Pesquera de Duero, Tinto Pesquera boasts over 200 hectares of low trellised vineyards, rooted in nutrient-scarce yet well-drained soils, comprising sands and gravels atop a subsoil of limestone and clay.
 
Tinto Pesquera commenced its journey in the 1970s, quickly becoming synonymous with excellence and contributing to the prestige of the region, long before Ribera del Duero emerged as one of the most renowned wine-producing areas.
 
Tinto Pesquera Gran Reserva Millenium is a red wine made from tempranillo grapes sourced from the Viña Alta vineyard, planted by Alejandro Fernández in the late 1960s. This vineyard is located at an altitude of 800 meters, featuring clay-rich soils strewn with abundant pebbles.
 
After the grapes are handpicked, they are transported to the winery where they are destemmed before being placed in stainless steel tanks for maceration and alcoholic fermentation. Following this process, the wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and further matures for 10 months in the bottle prior to its release.
 
Tinto Pesquera Gran Reserva Millenium is a wine of profound intensity, breadth, and structure. The bouquet reveals ripe black fruit aromas, complemented by toasted and smoky notes derived from its maturation. On the palate, it is elegant and silky, culminating in a harmonious and lingering finish.

2002 It has a good and nice attack, with a warm and juicy mid-palate, mediu-bodied with a great balance between acidity-tannicity-alcohol, which provides it with a great fineness and elegance. Long, subtle and persistent finish. A complex red wine.

Intense cherry red coloyr with  slight violet relections and light ruby red edge. Bright, with an abundant coloured tear.

After a long oxygenation, intense spiced aromas stand out and little by little give way to red fruit with vegetable nuances and pleasant balsamic notes in the background.
