About Tissot Arbois Patchwork Chardonnay

Tissot Arbois Patchwork Chardonnay is a natural monovarietal white wine made from Chardonnay. It falls under the AOC Arbois, in Jura, and is produced by Domaine André et Mireille Tissot.

Domaine André et Mireille Tissot is a winery in Jura founded in 1962. It cultivates its 35 hectares of vineyard certified organically and biodynamically. It is one of the emblematic wineries of Arbois and Jura. It is run by Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot and they produce craft wines that express the typicality of the vinified grapes and their terroir.

The vineyards for Tissot Arbois Patchwork Chardonnay are certified as being cultivated organically and biodynamically. The soils of the plots are mostly clayey but some areas are also calcareous. The vines have an average age of 50 years and all the plots are harvested by hand.

Tissot Arbois Patchwork Chardonnay is made following the traditional vinification of whites, and has also spent around 12 months ageing in barrels, 10 % of which are new. Lastly the wine is bottled without filtering or adding sulphites.
