About Torralvo Vizcarra

Bodegas Vizcarra is one of the best wineries in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
Torralvo is a red wine made with the Tinta Fina variety from vines over 60 years old, a true reflection of the authenticity of the Ribera del Duero. The malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels and the wine then ages for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
2018

Vizcarra 2018 is a mature red wine boasting intense aromas of red and black fruit, hints of spices, and nuances of oak. On the palate, it is profound, pure, and captivating. This red wine features a gracefully fruity profile, invigorating acidity, and an extensive, balsamic finish.
2010 Good, intense attack. Serene and elegant on the palate. Full-bodied with a sharp acidity and sweet, light, polished tannins. Nice bitter notes prevail over a long and persistent finish which leaves toasted and fruity nuances at retro-olfaction. An extremely well made red wine.

A picota cherry colour with a ruby rim. Clean and bright, with pretty, slow and even falling tears on the glass.

This wine, of medium-high intensity, exudes clean aromas of ripe red fruit, which give way to nice toasted, balsamic notes, spices and some floral touches.
