About Torremilanos Crianza

Torremilanos Crianza is a red wine coupage made mostly with Tempranillo, accompanied by a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, produced by the Finca Torremilanos Winery in Ribera del Duero, Spain.

Torremilanos Crianza comes from vineyards in Aranda de Duero cultivated ecologically using the principles of biodynamic agriculture, influenced by an Atlantic-Mediterranean climate, sitting at an altitude of between 800 and 900 metres with an average age of 50 years.

To make Torremilanos Crianza, the clusters are collected manually at different times of the harvest. They are then selected in the winery where they macerate for 10 days and ferment in stainless steel tanks with their native yeasts at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged in 225-litre French and American oak barrels for 22 months.

Torremilanos has been making wines for over a century. In 1975 the Peñalba López family took on the estate and began to expand it. Today they have more than 200 hectares of vineyards that are cultivated in an environmentally-friendly manner that promotes the maximum expression of Tempranillo, the region's flagship variety.

All these factors: soil, climate, grape quality, their own cooperage and working with respect and tradition, result in excellent quality wines with great aging potential.

2019

Torremilanos Crianza 2019 captivates the senses with an aroma suggestive of roasted coffee and the coolness of balsamic herbs. Upon uncorking, it unveils layers of ripe fruit notes such as plums and cherries, interwoven with a hint of spice. The palate is greeted with a silky and succulent texture, disclosing a robust structure, underscored by a mineral freshness that imparts vivacity. This red wine exhibits a concentration that promises to enchant with its harmonious balance and finesse.
2008 Good and intense attack. Silky and sweet mid palate, with very lively notes of fruit and well balanced creamy toasted aromas. Good acidity and good presence of tannins (that will finish polishing over the time). Long and persistent finish.

Intense cherry colour with maroon borders. Bright and with good tears.

Intense aromas of red fruits, some notes of black fruits, along with toasted, creamy and spicy touches are displayed on a light herbal background. Very harmonious.
2005 The palate is powerful, complex, velvety, flavor
concentrated black fruit and licorice.

Intense color glossy ruby â??â??reflections of light cherry wood highlights new fully assembled. Floral and balsamic nuances of thyme and rosemary.
