About Vadio Espumante Brut Rosé 2018

Vadio Espumante Brut Rosé is a sparkling wine produced by the Portuguese winery Vadio with the Baga variety in the DOC Bairrada, in Beiras.
 
Vadio is Luis Patrao’s family project. A winemaker who, after gaining experience in some of the most important wine regions of the world, decided to start his own winery. Under a name that means lazy in Portuguese, Patrao makes wines from native varieties and with the maximum expression of the terroir.
 
Aiming to explore the versatility of the berry, Vadio Espumante Brut Rosé comes from native vines with an average age of 30 years old that are cultivated under organic certification. The grapes are not allowed to get too ripe, in order to achieve a dominant acidity. 
 
In the winery, they are pressed in whole bunches and with very gentle extractions. The Vadio Espumante Brut Rosé must is fermented in stainless steel tanks and used barrels. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle and in contact with the lees for 18 months. Finally, disgorgement takes place with the subsequent addition of expedition liqueur.
 
Vadio Espumante Brut Rosé is a fresh and vibrant sparkling wine that, as the name Vadio suggests, is perfect for putting work aside and enjoying a glass of fine and elegant bubbles.

Vadio Espumante Brut Rosé 2019 is a finely contoured sparkling wine, presenting a light salmon hue. The bouquet is redolent with vivid aromas of fresh red berries. On the palate, it is refreshing and velvety, boasting a vibrant and well-balanced acidity. The bubbles are exquisitely fine and enduring.
2018 Vadio Espumante Brut Rosé 2018 is a defined sparkling wine with very fine and persistent bubbles. The nose reveals aromas of fresh red fruit and notes of roses. On the palate it is fresh, vibrant and creamy. A crisp and balanced sparkling wine with a long and persistent finish.
