About Valderiz Juegabolos

Valderiz Juegabolos is a single-varietal wine made from Tinta Fina, native grapes from the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The grapes come from an estate called Juegabolos, a vineyard planted by Tomás Esteban in 1988.
Finca Juegabolos is located on very special terroir. The first stratum is formed by gravel which, as well as draining the scarce rainfall, forces the vines to put down roots in deeper stratums, which provides the wine with mineral touches and plenty of structure.
During the wine's production, no microorganisms are inoculated, allowing the native yeasts from the environment to prompt fermentation. This red wine goes through the malolactic fermentation in barrels. Subsequently, it is aged for 36 months in French oak barrels.

2019

Juegabolos 2019 unfurls a tapestry of scents reminiscent of a stroll through the woods: succulent red fruits such as cherries and blackberries, a sweet hint of stewed fruits, and a delicate violet fragrance that speaks to the grapes’ optimal ripeness. Upon deeper inhalation, layers of spices, balms, and a faint echo of tobacco and chocolate arise. On the palate, its character is defined by a robust structure, with velvety tannins that glide effortlessly, and a warmth that prevails over the vivacity of its acidity. Juegabolos 2019 culminates in an extended finish that leaves a lactic and exquisitely intense aftertaste.
2016

Juegabolos 2016 is a mature red wine exuding ripe fruit aromas, balsamic nuances, and hints of oak. On the palate, it is powerful, profound, and full-bodied. This wine boasts a robust tannic intensity with pronounced roasted and spicy notes. The finish is exceptionally long, leaving traces of mineral and balsamic impressions.
2010 This wine has a mineral character, in which its warmth predominates over its acidity. It is very well structured,  with velvety tannins and a long, lactic and tasty finish.

Ruby red colour with slightly bluish reflections. This wine shows an intense robe.

The primary aromas stand out at first: forest fruits, jammy fruits, floral notes and violets, showing the perfect ripening of the grapes on the vines. Once opened out, aromas from its fermentation and ageing emerge: balsamic notes, spices, tobacco and cocoa.
2009 This wine has a mineral character, with warmth prevailing over its acidity. It is well-structured, with velvety tannins and a long, tasty and slightly lactic finish.

The primary aromas stand out, forest fruits, fruit jam, floral notes and violets, showing the good ripening of the grapes. After swirling the glass aromas from its fermentation and ageing appear: balsamic notes, spices, tobacco and cocoa.
