About Viña Albina Gran Reserva

Viña Albina Gran Reserva is a red wine from the D.O. Rioja made with the Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano varieties in Cenicero. The harvest is carried out late to slightly over-ripen the grapes. Fermentation takes place in new American oak barrels and the wine spends 4 months on lees with daily batonnage.
2014

Viña Albina Gran Reserva 2014 is a robust red wine. On the nose, it is vibrant, with tart cherries, wild strawberries, and raspberry set against a floral backdrop (violet leaf, rose, lilac) and wooded nuances (nutmeg, cinnamon, pink peppercorn). The palate is powerful and pronounced, retaining that lively freshness which evolves into warm hints transitioning from cherries and strawberries to tobacco, chocolate, and coconut.
2007 Concentrated and well-structured. Exhibiting robust tannins, it is harmonious and rounded. Possesses a distinct personality and character.

Deep and clear cherry red.

Aromatic and fruity, with nuances derived from its aging.

On the palate, it is fine, elegant and velvety. Ripe tannins. Persistent finish.
