About Viuda Negra Crianza

Viuda Negra Crianza is a monovarietal Tempranillo wine produced by Bodegas Javier San Pedro Ortega in the D.O.Ca Rioja.

Bodegas Javier San Pedro Ortega is run by the fifth generation of the San Pedro family, by the winemaker Javier San Pedro Ortega. The family owns more than 100 hectares of vineyards in the Laguardia area, in La Rioja. The Viuda Negra range is inspired by the spider with the same name. It is designed to seduce, with the aim being for the person who tastes it to be attracted to the wine and want to taste again.

To produce Viuda Negra Crianza the grape is destemmed and macerated for 21 days. The wine is then aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels.

Viuda Negra Crianza is a wine that seeks to transmit the authenticity and typicality of its land in a dynamic and modern way, with a wine that is fruity, fresh and complex, with spicy touches.
2016 Viuda Negra Crianza 2016 has aromas of fruit and ripe fruit, with spicy and mineral notes. It is fine and elegant. On the palate it is broad and structured, with body, noble tannins and good acidity. It has a lingering finish.
