Zind-Humbrecht Gewürztraminer Roche Calcaire is a white wine from the AOC Alsace made with Gewürztraminer grapes and produced by Domaine Zind-Humbrecht.

Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is a winery born from the union of two families in 1959 that up to that date had produced and sold wines under their respective names. Today the winery has some 41 hectares of vineyards spread across 6 municipalities. The winery produces an annual average of 16,000 boxes of wine.

Zind-Humbrecht Gewürztraminer Roche Calcaire is the result of vinifying the slightly late harvest from a small vineyard located in the town of Gueberschwhir, very close to the Grand Cru Golberet. The vineyard is located on a slight slope facing east, and the vines have an average age of 35 years and produce approximately 47 hectolitres per hectare.

Zind-Humbrecht Gewürztraminer Roche Calcaire is an Alsatian Gewürztraminer white that is fruity, floral and fresh with a little residual sugars.
2016 Zind-Humbrecht Gewürztraminer Roche Calcaire 2016 is a wine that displays light and spicy aromas of pepper and dried herbs. It has an elegant nose that is floral, but not powerful. The limestone soils produce a slightly reserved Gewürztraminer. The wine has a good tannic structure balanced by a medium sweetness and a kind acidity. It is not sweet enough to be a dessert wine, but will go well with beef, duck and cheese.
