About Alta Vista Premium Malbec

Alta Vista Premium Malbec is a wood-aged red wine made by Alta Vista with the Malbec variety in Mendoza (Argentina).

Founded in 1998 by the family who owned the renowned Piper Heidsieck Maison de Champagne, Alta Vista lies in the heart of the Mendoza wine region. Their aim is to achieve the best expression of Argentine terroirs and its star variety Malbec.

Alta Vista Premium Malbec comes from a selection of the best Malbec from their own vineyards that are planted at more than 1,000 metres above sea level on the highest terraces in the Andes. The vines are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

In the winery, the Alta Vista Premium Malbec clusters first pass over the selection table and then undergo a long pre-fermentation cold maceration followed by fermentation with native yeasts and a post-fermentation maceration of 15 days. Finally the wine ages in French and American oak barrels for 10 months.

Born on the highest terraces of the vineyards in the Andes mountains, Alta Vista Premium Malbec is a red wine with body, volume and concentration. A journey of discovery!

2020	Alta Vista Premium Malbec 2020 is a robust, deeply hued red with violet undertones. It boasts a complex bouquet featuring red fruit aromas (cherries) intermingled with floral nuances. On the palate, it is fleshy and vibrant, with seamlessly integrated oak notes and well-structured tannins. Full-bodied. It culminates in an enduring and meticulous finish.
2017	Alta Vista Premium Malbec 2017 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of black fruit, toasted oak notes and hints of spice. On the palate it is intense with volume and weight. A pleasant wine from start to finish with silky tannins and a long and persistent finish.
