About Artuke Pies Negros

Artuke Pies Negros is a barrel-aged red wine from the DOCa Rioja produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Artuke. It is a blend dominated by tempranillo and graciano.

The harvest is carried out manually, and in the winery, the grape clusters are selected on a sorting table. The grapes are destemmed and then trodden barefoot, which is the origin of this wine's name.

Artuke Pies Negros undergoes daily punch-downs and subsequently macerates for approximately 3 or 4 days. This process takes place in stainless steel tanks.

Artuke Pies Negros is then aged for a period of 12 to 14 months in French and American oak barrels of first, second, or third use.

Bodegas y Viñedos Artuke is a small family-run winery that utilises modern technology.

It combines tradition and innovation to cultivate the 16 hectares of its own vineyards.
