If you ever thought that El Hierro (Canary Islands) was merely a remote dot on the Canary map, Bimbache Vinícola will make you reconsider. The smallest and most isolated island of the archipelago harbours vinicultural secrets that seem to belong to another era, and Rayco Fernández and his team have taken it upon themselves to unearth them.

The project began after Rayco's first wine in Lanzarote, Puro Rofe, but the real adventure commenced in 2018, when they decided to bring viticulture to the smallest and most challenging island of the archipelago. The aim was clear: to create high-quality, indigenous, sustainable wines that stay true to the unique character of El Hierro.

The terrain has everything needed to produce exceptional wines: volcanic soils, varied altitudes, and a reserve of indigenous varieties known to few outside the island. Each plot tells its own story, and Rayco and his team are dedicated to preserving it, working in an ecological and artisanal manner.

One of their most remarkable wines is Bimbache Quintero Vidueño. Originating from a solera with overripe grapes, yet unfettered, this blend incorporates all the island's varieties. The magic of this wine lies in its balance: it merges old and young vines, achieving a profile that is less sweet and more drinkable, faithfully reflecting the traditional wines of the area.

Bimbache Vinícola does not seek fame or mass production. It aims to respect the island, keep its traditions alive, and offer a wine that speaks of its origins. Bimbache Quintero Vidueño is a journey to the volcanic land of El Hierro, to its indigenous history and to the passion of those who believe that the small can be great when crafted with love and patience.
