Cava for appetizers
On this occasion, we will talk about the wines that set the stage for great events, the sparkling wines, different cavas that fulfill the function of awakening us with their freshness.
To change things up a bit, we propose two options, a reserva cava and a rosé reserva cava.
Agustí Torelló Mata Trepat Reserva Brut is a rosé made with the native Trepat variety, fresh and complex, dense and rich. Its cherry color makes it very attractive, and it has a presence of crown and rosary.
On the nose, pronounced notes of strawberry and forest fruits, very fresh. On the palate, a well-integrated effervescence that provides a pleasant contrast. A cava with great strength.
María Casanovas Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2004, with a blend of Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada, as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This cava is elegant, daring, restrained, and if I may say so, even a bit sexy. In the glass, we see a straw-colored sparkling wine. On the nose, nuts, apples, and a hint of mineral dryness. On the palate, the party begins, complexity, hazelnuts, and perhaps a subtle background of pear. Delicate and smooth bubbles, long and dry aftertaste. You might even forget why you're there.
