About Borsao Tinto Selección

Borsao Tinto Selección is a young red wine from the DO. Campo De Borja, crafted by the winery Borsao. It is a blend of Garnacha Tinta, Tempranillo, and Syrah.

The grapes used for Borsao Tinto Selección are sourced from young vineyards aged between 15 and 25 years. These vineyards are situated on clay-limestone, stony, and loamy soils.

Borsao Tinto Selección undergoes a skin maceration for 3 to 4 days. The entire maceration process extends up to 10 or 12 days.

Each variety ferments separately in stainless steel tanks at a consistently controlled temperature of around 22º-24ºC.

The winery Borsao is globally renowned and respected. One of its principal advocates is Robert Parker, the most influential wine critic in the wine world, who once declared Borsao Tinto Selección to be "possibly the single greatest wine value in the world."

In 2014, the winery Borsao was also regarded by Parker as one of the most valuable of the year.

2017 Borsao Selección 2017 is a young, fruity and expressive red wine. Once again, this vintage shows its excellent value for money. Sweet on the nose with lots of red fruit. In the mouth, it is silky, easy to drink and very long.
2014 It is fleshy and juicy. Good acidity and light bitter notes, very pleasant and correct persistence. It is a great wine with excellent value for money.

Powerful ruby colour with violet hues. Clean and sparkling.

Predominantly red fruit. Touches of ripe fruit together with spicy and balsamic notes.
2012 In the palate, this Spanish wine is honest, direct and easy-drinking. It is fleshy and juicy and has a good load of fruit which coats the palate. It has a great acidity and a very nice finish of light bitter notes with a good persistence. Excellent value (and pleasure) for money.

Intense dark cherry colour with violet reflections. Clean and bright.

Medium-high intensity nasal aromas, in which the notes of red fruit are dominant. Its notes of ripe fruit with a touch of liquor and the hints of cherries give way to notes of spices, white pepper, balsamic nuances and hints of undergrowth.
