About Supernova Roble

Supernova Roble is a barrel-aged red wine made by the Briego winery with the Tempranillo variety in the D.O. Ribera de Duero.

Briego was founded in 1988 by brothers Benito, Gaspar, Javier and Fernando Hernando in the Valladolid town of Fompedraza when they decided to transform the family farm into a winery to produce quality wines. They currently have a total of 77 hectares of vineyards with an annual production of 400,000 bottles.

Supernova Roble comes from 30-year-old vines planted in sandy soil with siliceous stone at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level. They use traditional agriculture and the harvest is carried out at the optimum point of ripeness.

Once the Supernova Roble grape is destemmed and pressed, it ferments with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 8 months.

Supernova Roble is a meaty, fresh and spicy young red wine for any budget.

2017 Supernova Roble 2017 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of ripe black and red fruit and with a toasted wooden background. The palate is meaty, delicate and elegant with exquisite touches of cinnamon, vanilla and spices.
