About Cirerets

Cirerets is a red wine from Priorat produced by Bodegas Mas Alta. The winery is located in the town of Vilella Alta (Tarragona).

Cirerets is a blend of two of the great indigenous varieties of Priorat: Grenache and Carignan.

The grapes come from strains 50 years old located at an altitude of between 450 and 650 metres, planted on soils of licorella (slate soils typical of Priorat).

For its preparation, once the wine has completed the fermentation process, it undergoes aging for 18 months in French barrels from Allier.

2018

Cirerets 2018 is an indulgent wine bursting with succulent aromas of strawberries, cherries, and an array of red wild berries. Upon decanting, one can discern the secondary balsamic fragrances intertwined with hints of minerality. On the palate, it is vivacious, brimming with fruitiness and seamlessly integrated. It exhibits refined tannins, harmoniously balanced acidity, and a prolonged, lingering finish.

 
2017

Cirerets 2017 is a richly concentrated red wine, exuding profound aromas of ripe red fruits, hints of pink florals, and balsamic nuances. The palate is lusciously generous, flavorful, and all-encompassing. This wine showcases a vibrant freshness and seamlessly integrated tannins. The finish is extensive, enduring, and delightfully mineral-infused.
2012 Good entry, tasty and meaty step. Good acidity and very balanced. Floral notes with red fruit with a long finish.

Medium cherry red garnet, clean and bright trim.

Medium-high intensity and complexity. With aromas of ripe red fruit and floral notes, minerals and spices. Final touch of herbs.
2010 On the palate we find melted yet very elegant tannins. This red wine is very fresh, with a long aftertaste thanks to its good acidity. Notes of red fruit and flowers from the Garnacha linger.

Black cherry with a ruby coloured edge. Intense, clean and bright.

Great evolution. Ripe and fresh red fruit gives way to floral aromas and minerals. The cariñena grape is noticed because of its balsamic aromas.
2007 On the palate we find melted yet very elegant tannins. This red wine is very fresh, with a long aftertaste thanks to its good acidity. Notes of red fruit and flowers from the Grenache linger.
