It is not the first time that the benefits of music on plant growth have been discussed. Increasingly, visionary vintners are embracing this practice in their vineyards. At Cortes de Cima, a family-owned winery located in Alentejo, Portugal, this tradition is uniquely implemented under the leadership of the second generation, Anna Jørgensen.

Since Anna took the helm of the winery, she has committed to practices that respect the land and nature, blending tradition with innovation. The grapes at Cortes de Cima are hand-harvested during the cool hours of the night, aided by headlights that illuminate the vineyards. However, the most distinctive feature is the music: a speaker plays a special playlist of "Pimba," a genre of Portuguese folk music brimming with energy and emotion. The result of this innovative approach is a wine that reflects the soul of the land and the dedication of its people.

Evidence of this is Cortes de Cima Chaminé Branco, a blend of native and rigorously organic varieties: albariño, viognier, moscatel, and sauvignon blanc. The fermentation is entirely natural in stainless steel tanks, with a resting period at low temperatures and subsequent aging on lees for 18 months, imparting a unique complexity and richness to this wine.
