Founded in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, this 19-hectare family estate has made authenticity its hallmark. Since 2006, all its vineyards have been cultivated under certified organic agriculture, a decision that transcends mere labeling. It is a way of perceiving wine as a living entity, an extension of the surrounding landscape.

One of the most brilliant examples of this philosophy is Côte de Beaune Le Clos des Topes Bizot, a wine that captures the essence of this privileged corner of the southern Beaune mountain. The vines, planted over 60 years ago in stony clay-limestone soil, are east-facing, receiving just the right amount of sunlight to allow the grapes to mature slowly without losing freshness.

The vineyard work is meticulous: low yields, manual harvesting, and an absolute respect for the soil's life. The grapes are picked at the precise point of ripeness, gently pressed, and the must ferments naturally in oak barrels (only 10 to 15% new). Afterwards, the wine rests on its lees for 15 months, acquiring texture, depth, and a discreet elegance that seeks not to dazzle but to linger in memory.
