About Domaine de la Touraize Arbois Côtes à Côtes

If you've ever stepped into a bistro in Paris, you are well aware of what we're discussing. A small, informal, and cosy restaurant where simple, homemade, and delightful food is served, accompanied by the right, unpretentious wine. This is precisely the sensation you get when tasting Domaine de la Touraize Arbois Côtes à Côtes, a wine designed for uncomplicated enjoyment, a perfect companion for any dish that speaks of tradition, flavour, and fine dining.

Its instigators are André-Jean and Héléana Morin, whose family has deep roots in Arbois, in the Jura, with eight generations devoted to viticulture. With a clear philosophy of crafting natural wines, their leitmotif is minimal intervention, respecting the land and tradition. In the case of Côtes à Côtes, we are talking about a blend of pinot noir on grey marl and trousseau on clayey gravel, cultivated in vineyards farmed organically and biodynamically, without pesticides, and only treated with copper, herbal teas, and sulphur.

The winemaking is artisanal: the co-fermentation of both varieties is done by gravity, with indigenous yeasts, moistening the cap 2-3 times a week without pump-overs. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in vats, the wines are blended, and finally aged in foudres for 18 months, without clarification or filtration.
