Domaine Jean Grivot Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Charmois is a wood-aged red wine made with the Pinot Noir variety in the AOC Nuits-Saint-Georges/Côte-d'Or, in Burgundy (France).
Mathilde Grivot is the third generation of a leading wine-growing family in Burgundy. In 2017, she took over Domaine Jean Grivot, an estate with over 200 years of history. Through meticulous work, she carries the legacy of her grandfather and father using new techniques to extract the maximum expression of an exceptional terroir.
Domaine Jean Grivot Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Charmois comes from a vineyard located south of Nuits-Saint-Georges on deep soils of limestone and rock on the surface. Although not certified, the vines are organically cultivated and the harvest is manual at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Domaine Jean Grivot Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Charmois grapes are crushed and fermented with their skins in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
A product of one of the famous crus in the prestigious Burgundy town of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Jean Grivot Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Charmois is a fruity, deep and very versatile red wine.
