A wine that seems to have travelled through time to reach your glass: Domaine Rolet Château-Chalon is a gem from Jura (France), born on steep slopes where centuries of history intertwine with every cluster. This Vin Jaune, also known as “the gold of Jura”, carries the essence of a land that only reveals its secrets to those who know how to wait, reflecting the mystique of Château-Chalon and its legendary Abbey of the Abbesses.

Domaine Rolet, established in 1942 by Désiré Rolet, is a benchmark of Jura and an example of how tradition and modernity can coexist with grace. Now managed by the Flambert and Dupuis families, it upholds the founders' spirit of excellence, working with organic vineyards and paying attention to every detail: hand-harvested grapes, meticulously selected according to the soil that best expresses their character, and a vinification process that respects the identity of each local variety, especially the savagnin, the soul of Vin Jaune.

Domaine Rolet Château-Chalon is crafted using the exclusive ageing technique “sans ouillage”, where the barrels are not completely filled, allowing a layer of yeast known as voile to form, protecting the integrity of the wine maturing just beneath, at the pace of the years, and developing its unique flavour. Its intense golden hue (hence its name, “vin jaune”, meaning “yellow wine”) heralds an extraordinary aromatic profile: dried fruits like walnuts, notes of candied fruits and a subtle play of spices —curry, cinnamon, nutmeg— culminating in a long and enveloping finish. Each 62 cl bottle, a clavelin, is a small treasure preserving the essence and prestige of the village of Château-Chalon.
