About Domaine Valette Mâcon-Villages

Domaine Valette Mâcon-Villages is a single-varietal white wine made from Chardonnay grapes by Domaine Valette, under the AOC Mâcon-Villages in Burgundy, France.

Philippe and Cécile Valette represent the third generation of winemakers at Domaine Valette, a small family-run winery of excellent repute where the vineyards have been cultivated according to organic farming principles for over 20 years and have adhered to biodynamic philosophy since 1992.

All their vinifications are conducted with minimal intervention, employing indigenous yeasts and working with care and patience, as Philippe believes there must be trust in the grape and its juice to work without sulphur. In the vineyards, the natural balance of the soil is maintained through the development of cover crops.

For the production of Domaine Valette Mâcon-Villages, grapes from the youngest vines of the winery are used and vinified with partial maceration of the clusters. The wine undergoes aging on fine lees for 24 months in oak barrels which blend four consecutive vintages (2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023) and is bottled unfiltered and without added sulphur.
