About Edulis Crianza

Edulis Crianza is a red wine from the Rioja developed by the Altanza winery. This winery, founded in 1998, is located in the town of Fuenmayor (Rioja Alta).

Edulis Crianza is made from 100% Tempranillo. The grapes come from vineyards planted at an altitude of between 380 and 500m on clay-calcareous soils and ferrous clay.

For maintenance and cultivation of vineyards, non-chemical herbicides or pesticides are used.

Edulis Crianza development is carried out using a conventional winemaking. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C and lasts 12 to 15 days. Later maceration with the skins lasting 10 days is performed.

Finally, after a malolactic fermentation in steel tanks, Edulis Crianza is aged for 12 months in barrels of French and American oak, and a second aging in bottle for 12 months.

2015 Edulis Crianza 2015 is a complex, meaty and elegant red wine. In this vintage the perfect blend between the aromas of ripe red fruit and the toasted notes of aging stand out. On the palate it is silky and easy with quite a lingering finish.
2012 Enveloping and intense entry. Step is tasty and ample with hints of red fruit. Good acidity and well integrated tannins. Long finish.

Intense garnet. Clean and bright.

High aromatic intensity, red fruit aromas with spicy and toasted notes. Slightly balsamic background.
2011 On the palate, the wine is robust, harmonious, and expansive. It boasts a prolonged and persistent finish.

It presents a garnet hue with violet reflections. The appearance is clear and luminous.
