About Encina del Inglés

Encina del Inglés is a red wine from the D.O. Sierras de Málaga made by the Finca La Melonera winery. This wine is a blend of the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (30%), Garnacha (25%), Tempranillo (25%), Syrah (10%) and Merlot (10%).

Encina del Inglés comes from vineyards that are owned and controlled by the team, and they can be found between 600 and 900 metres above sea level. These vines are around eight years old and grown on clay-loam soils with a presence of limestone. The climate is typical of a mountainous area: the temperature variation between night and day can reach up to 20º.

After the harvest, which is carried out manually, the grape is left to ferment in stainless steel tanks. The Cabernet Sauvignon, unlike the other varieties, rests for six months in barrels.
